Counseling for personal struggles, relationship stresses, and life transitions

MY THERAPY PRACTICE IN COLUMBIA, SC
AND VIRTUALLY ACROSS SOUTH CAROLINA

Welcome! I offer therapy for personal struggles, relationship stresses, and life transitions, individually or together.

In-person individual or couples therapy in Columbia, SC appointments in a relaxed atmosphere on the edge of downtown and available for virtual online sessions across South Carolina for state residents. As of February 2026, I have limited appointment openings available, including evenings. I look forward to hearing from you.

Through a relational approach, we can explore and strengthen your interpersonal bonds and work together to help you navigate high-stakes situations to strengthen your most important connections, including the relationship you have with yourself. Enhancing connection is a key part of my work with romantic / sexual partners, childhood trauma and with families. Being newly seen and heard in more complete ways can be transformative and hope-inducing.

Life is as much about how we tell our stories, to ourselves and to others, as it is the content of these narratives.

Relationships, including with ourselves, can thrive

SPECIALIZING IN COUPLES THERAPY, INDIVIDUAL RELATIONAL COUNSELING,
FAMILY THERAPY AND MARRIAGE COUNSELING

I offer EFT couples therapy, trauma counseling, individual therapy, and other areas related to interpersonal challenges. My services also include a range of talk therapy including marriage counseling in Columbia, SC and family dynamics therapy. While work with men and men's issues is a focus of individual counseling in Columbia, SC, people come for other reasons as well, most often with regard to past traumas, current relational stress and interpersonal communication challenges. If it makes sense to you, it's a great reason to contact me to discuss your specific situation.

I strive to incorporate evidence-based therapy approaches, including Emotionally-Focused Therapy for couples and marriage counseling, where I have completed my advanced level training in this approach and am continuing toward full certification. Each therapy session is tailored to support the emotional well-being and growth of my clients. Personal struggles, relationship stresses, and life transitions (and communication challenges in general) are a particular focus of my therapy practice. This often begins with restoring trust, in ourselves as much as with others of critical importance in our lives.

Maintaining a safe space atmosphere where everyone’s feelings, voices and person are respected and valued is a primary goal. Your story matters, and while the situation which brought you here, in this moment, may feel like a terrible crisis or a long-brewing collapse, talk therapy can help you discover new possibilities - and hope for the future. We can work together to help you get unstuck and resource new ways to understand, and address, your life.
