Let's Find Your Way Across

Something Has to Change — You No Longer Have to Do It Alone

Whether you can articulate this with specific words, or what you are feeling now is just so heavy a burden, you know something is leading you here. That the current way of living or loving feels impossible to sustain. Either way, your intuition that something isn't right is enough to start.

The space between where you are and where you want to be: This is where our work together begins

Therapy for Real Life — Relationships, Trauma, and Life as Imagined

I offer support across four core areas: relationships and couples therapy, trauma counseling, individual counseling, and communication concerns, stretching to infidelity and corrosive secrets. Whether you're navigating a relationship in crisis, processing past trauma, working through personal struggles, or trying to rebuild connection and communication with someone you love — and whether you're reaching out with a quiet concern or in the depths of a gripping crisis — there's a place for you here.

I work with couples at every stage of crisis, from a gnawing sense of growing apart to the sharp aftermath of infidelity — and with men (and women) navigating threatened separation, midlife identity questions, and PTSD.  As a male therapist, I offer a space where men who are skeptical of therapy often find themselves more comfortable than they expected. Trauma is another core focus: I work with adults carrying complex trauma rooted in childhood, and with partners of trauma survivors — an often overlooked experience carrying its own profound burden.

I'm Mark Stewart, a therapist based in Columbia, SC, seeing clients in person and virtually across South Carolina — including Camden and surrounding areas. I have limited openings available, with both day and evening appointments. Whatever brought you here, you've come to the right place. Ready to find support? Tell me what you need help with.
