In late fall 2024, we relocated to this likely example of a Sears Catalogue home of circa 1890. My office is in the original parlor.

Our Waiting Room

Our waiting room for the Columbia Counseling Collaborative is warm and inviting, though I strive not to keep anyone waiting.

Welcome!

I strongly believe in the power of inviting collaboration and instilling a sense of warmth and acceptance.

I am also available for virtual appointments statewide for South Carolina residents

THERAPY PRACTICE APPROACH & SCOPE

Areas where I focus my practice include Individual Counseling, Couples Therapy, Family Conflict, Marriage Counseling, Pre-marital Counseling, Blended Families, Parenting & Co-Parenting, Separation, Divorce, Negotiating Relationships, Infidelity, Lost Connection, Sexual Compatibility, Sex therapy, and Alternative Relationships. We can explore your situation individually, or collaboratively as partners or family members.

Specific areas of focus include:

  1. Couples therapy, including marriage counseling, pre-marital counseling, blended families, and separation and divorce.

  2. Individual counseling around relationship and family concerns, often from a men's issues perspective.

  3. Communication issues such as lost connection, negotiation in relationships, infidelity, sex therapy and growing apart concerns.

I believe the therapeutic relationship is the most important vector of change. With familial and romantic relationships this is even more critical as the overlapping perspectives, cross-cutting psychological drivers, and general “messiness” of these systemic interactions make things appear exasperatingly complex and unsolvable. They are not, generally speaking; we can re-craft these in workable ways that provide relief for you, and your loved ones.

My office is easily accessible from across the Midlands. Client's come to me from across the region and in-person sessions are accessible from Chapin, Lexington, West Columbia, Irmo, Cayce, Rosewood, Shandon, Forest Acres, NE Columbia Blythewood, Lower Richland and Camden. For others, virtual sessions are preferable and I see clients remotely from across the South Carolina from Greenville, Spartanburg, Rock Hill, Florence, Sumter, Conway, Charleston and Aiken areas.
